We are looking for a number of junior ecologists to support our teams based in the North West and the East Midlands. We are offering a full time contract on an initial 6 month fixed term, but with the potential for extension.

As a Junior Ecologist you will be part of a highly skilled and experienced team and will have the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of ecology projects.

You’ll be assigned a nominated mentor who will work with you to develop a develop plan combining formal and informal training, giving you the opportunity to learn a variety of survey techniques, develop your report writing and GIS skills,  and gain an understanding of project management fundamentals.

It’s really important to us that we find people that will thrive at Envance. We are looking for people that have the following attributes;

  • A confident self-starter with a passion for ecological consultancy
  • A love of field surveys and happy to work away from home, occasionally for extended periods
  • A relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some knowledge of the practical application of UK wildlife legislation
  • Ability to use GIS software packages (ARCGIS, QGIS)
  • Have a full UK driving licence.
