We are looking for someone that thrives in a small dynamic team that wants to help us deliver our vision, and lead and grow our environmental assessment team. EIA and project management are core components of our business and our focus is on growing an expert service for existing and new clients – predominantly within the UK planning and infrastructure sectors, whilst embracing current and emerging drivers including nature-based solutions, natural capital and biodiversity net gain.
The person we’re looking for will be a skilled and experienced environmental consultant with particular expertise in multidisciplinary environmental impact assessment. They will have a genuine enthusiasm for winning and delivering high quality work for clients and supporting them in resolving their ecological issues. Team management experience and an aspiration to support, develop and inspire early career consultants and help ensure they receive well-rounded professional experience is also important.
Day to day, you would be managing projects and supporting staff, drafting high quality reports and reviewing technical work, whilst supporting clients to identify solutions to their problems. We're a growing company and your role would include costing and tendering for work and growing business for the team in the north west and beyond.

Experience and qualifications
Due to our diverse workload we are interested in people with a variety of skills and specialisms including ecology, carbon management and reduction, energy and sustainability, social impact assessment or environmental project management and EIA coordination.
- A minimum of 5 (senior) or 8 (principal) years professional experience, ideally within a commercial consultancy
- An honours degree a related field
- Membership or chartership with a relevant professional institute
- Have significant professional experience of undertaking and managing environmental assessments including statutory EIA, ideally with a specialism in one area
- Excellent report writing skills at the highest level (chapter lead/ Public Inquiry)
- Have proven project and line management experience and the ability to mentor junior colleagues
- Have experience in tendering for and winning work, ideally in the north west planning and development sector
